A gorgeous French clear glass flask of compressed, flattened form, finely-engraved with oak leaves and acorns as well as a monogram "PE", circa 1875. It measures 5" across, 6 ½" high to the silver-mounted neck. The flask sits in a silver stand; the reeded, elongated oval bracket is 5 ¼" x 2 1/8", supported by engraved oak leaf uprights on a 2 ¼ x 3 inch reeded, oval base. French, 950 silver standard. Maker: "AG" separated by a lion. Hallmarks on neck, base, and outer stand. Height on stand 7 3/8". Despite the missing stopper, this is magnificent piece.
