Hand crafted about 1840 during the Biedermeier or Empire period in Denmark, this sleek and stylish secretary desk is matched flame grain mahogany.
The satiny finish is in excellent condition with shrinkage separations from age and various restorations over the years, see photos.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. The writing surface is saddle leather, locks and key still work on this understated European antique furniture.
Dimensions are 43" wide at the crown, 19" deep, 51" tall and the desktop is 31" high.
