Artistically hand painted with gold and mother of pearl or abalone shell inlay about 1860, an English paper mache serving tray was set on a hand carved custom base about 60 years ago to use as a coffee or cocktail table. The gracefully curved antique tray is in very fine condition with various restorations over the years, all preserved with a coat of satin varnish.
Finished in matching ebony and gold, the sturdy base was carefully fitted to securely support the lift off tray. Overall size is 31" long, 24" wide and 19" tall.
