An Empire period chest or dresser from the 1830's is solid cherry with one walnut board in the top rear.
The renewed finish is in excellent condition, preserving just enough mars and stains for a little antique character, see photos.
Hand crafted in the eastern U.S., the spiral turned columns are exceptional on this stately furniture. Large drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms, sides are restored to glide smoothly.
Dimensions are 46" wide, 21" deep and 50 1/2" tall.
