A spectacular oak back bar cabinet or sideboard was hand crafted in Germany about 1890 in the Renaissance manner. The glowing finish is in excellent condition, enhancing burl panels. There is a mar on the top of the base, see photos.
Spiral columns, the half domed center niche and deep moldings are authentic on this antique furniture. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on solid oak sides, one is felt lined for silver.
Keys are handles only, locks do not work. On the back, hand cut dovetail joinery is visible. Two separate pieces for easier transport, this monumental cabinet is well proportioned.
Dimensions are 89" wide, 33" deep, 87 1/2" tall and the base is 46" high.
