A graceful "bombe" or convex lingerie chest was hand crafted in France about 1910, with inlaid banding of rosewood, mahogany and satinwood.
The finish is in excellent condition, preserving some bumps near the drawers from shrinkage due to age, see photos. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on solid oak sides. Cast brass mounts are original on this European antique furniture, there is no key.
The shaped marble top has been polished and sealed to resist stains, it appears original but does not fit exactly. Measurements are 20" wide, 15" deep and 40" tall.
