This circa 1895 secretary desk has a cylinder or barrel roll top and bookcase above. Solid oak, the finish is in excellent condition.
The roll has curly elm burl and a couple of shrinkage separations from age. A leather top writing surface pulls out below cubby holes and a tiny drawer for papers. The removable upper bookcase has old wavy glass doors and adjustable shelves on this American made antique furniture.
The lower door key is a handle only, the lock does not work. A key operates the bookcase doors and top drawer only. Pulls are original and the bookcase is detachable for easier moving.
Dimensions are 38" wide, 22" deep and 82" tall. The pull out writing surface is 29" from the floor and extends 10".
