A brass and leather telescope from England dates to the late 1800's, and has a sliding cover on the eyepiece. There is wear to the black enamel case as shown plus a partial leather case and strap. A sliding sun shield is at the large end. Useful for pirates, this working telescope was state of the art at the time, but is fairly difficult to focus.
This antique spyglass is 2" diameter and extends from 18 1/2" to 27" long.
