A picturesque china or curio display cabinet was hand crafted in England in the early 1900's. Solid fine grained oak has delicate inlaid marquetry designs and banding of ebony and satinwood. Embossed brass hardware and the velvet interior are original. The hand carved details and shaped crest are beautiful.
The original finish is very well preserved with warm patina, waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. There are minor losses at the edges and shrinkage separations from age on this antique furniture, see photos.
Drawers have solid oak sides with tiny hand cut dovetail joints. The brass door lock is signed "Double Lever, Hand Made."
Measurements are 48" wide, 16" deep and 88" tall.
