A lawyer's or barrister's stacking bookcase has a secretary desk plus a four drawer section. Inside are cubicles and tiny drawers for papers plus pen holders. Quarter sawn oak, this library or office furniture dates from the early 1900's.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few ink stains, mars and losses for a little antique character, see photos. There is original wavy glass in the bookcase door, the section accommodates books up to 11" wide and 11 1/2" tall.
Patinated brass hardware is original on this American made library or office furniture.
