From the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1880, this wonderfully hand carved back bar or sideboard is solid quarter sawn oak with a marble top. The gallery has five original beveled mirrors with a little "smoke" to show their age.
Refinished many years ago, it is in very fine condition on this American made antique furniture, preserving just enough mars and wear for a little character.
Drawers have dovetailed joints and the marble has has been polished and finished for protection. Fluted columns and detailing are exceptionally fine.
Measurements are 75" wide, 24" deep, and 91" tall. The marble work surface is 37" from the floor.
