A splendid Victorian period bookcase from about 1870 was carved of solid walnut with burl panels, and has shelves that adjust on wooden supports.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique library furniture. Doors have original wavy glass and working locks. Hand carved detailing and raised panels are beautiful.
There are small gaps where the doors meet and behind the original shelves, and a small carving is lost on the bottom rear of the left side, see photos.
Measurements are 41" wide, 15" deep and 84" tall. It will accommodate books up to 8 3/4" deep.
