This Victorian period fireplace mantel is architectural salvage from an 1870's home.
Carved of solid cherry with inlaid marquetry panels, the original ebonized finish has various touchups and is preserved with clear varnish. Tops have been revarnished for durability. There are shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
Curved doors have working locks on this American made antique furniture.
Measurements are 7' 2" wide, 14" deep and 48 1/2" tall, the fire opening is 47 1/2" wide and 36" high.
