William Brownfield was commissioned to produce these teapots for W. Broughton's shop in Douglas on the Isle of Man in England. You can see the W. Broughton marking on the bottom. The three legged (symbol of the Isle of Man) sailor is seated on a coiled rope, his third leg forming the spout. His head is the lid. It has an overall height of about 8 3/4", width of about 9*
It is in very nice condition and the only issue I can see is some wear of the opening as shown.
