WHAT an Exquisite BELLEEK Lenox CAC (Ceramic Art Company) VASE! First of all, it is in IMMACULATE condition -- shiny as the day it was painted over 100 years ago. The primary Magenta CABBAGE Roses decoration has been beautifully and artistically painted. The roses are nestled in a nest of vibrant green leaves, and against a lovely green background. Added to that is the unusual touch of painting a CIRCLE of roses on the INNER RIM of the vase. The fabulous condition makes it obvious that this lovely was a prized possession and was a display item only.
The quality of the painting on this vase screams "professional artist"...but, unfortunately, one who did not deign to sign their name. Nevertheless, the ORNATE Handles and tapering bulbous body make this vase a prime example of the American Belleek period. This Beauty stands about 9 inches tall, and measures approximately 7 inches at the widest point of the vase. The CAC Green "Pallette" mark hails from Trenton, New Jersey, and denotes the American Belleek "Ceramic Art Company" -- Lenox for the time period of 1889 - 1906. Rarely will you find such a Beautifully painted and ORNATE handled AMERICAN BELLEEK vase in such fabulous condition.
