This is such a BEAUTY! This CAC -- Lenox, Ceramics Art Company, vase is a prime example of the American Belleek period. It has all the bells and whistles that make it highly desirable -- Gilded, Hand Painted, embellished with artistically chased gold and textured gilt curlicues for interest. The Tulips are painted in lively purple and lavender tones accented by variegated green leaves, and is offset by the background of lemony yellow. Both the top and base have line of gilt dots defining the separation between the borders and the ART of the vase. The lovely stands about 8 inches tall, and measures about 4 inches at the widest point of the vase. The CAC Purple "Pallette" mark hails from Trenton, New Jersey, and denotes the American Belleek "Ceramic Art Company" -- Lenox for the time period of 1894 - 1896. VERY rare to find such a wonderfully maintained American Belleek vase...and with such a desirable motif as well.
