A very rare charger or plaque from renown porcelain artist Esther Miler (1861-1931). Known primarily for her lovely, delicate portrayal of florals, it is unusual to find her dabbling with fruit motifs, with strawberries being most unique and sought after. Handpainted china by Miler is extremely coveted by collectors who have come to appreciate the delicate perfection of her work. This charger is a wonderful example of the artistic talent of Esther Miler. It features a very fresh design of strawberries in various stages of development, along with blossoms and even flower buds, all nestled in the greenery. Notice the ethereal strawberries and leaves in the background adding depth and balance to the design. She was truly a master! This superb artwork is hand painted on a blank from Jean Pouyat, Limoges, France, mark 5 (1890-1932). The charger measures an impressive 11 3/4" in diameter and is in extremely fine condition. A RARE MASTERPIECE FROM ESTHER MILER!
