This piece is signed by artist GERARD. Joseph Gerard is listed in Alan Reed's Pickard Encyclopedia as having a china decorating studio operating in Chicago between 1913-1923.
The mug stands about 5-1/2" tall, measures about 4-1/2" across the base, and about 3-1/2" across the rim.
It is in excellent condition, with only the most minimal gold wear on the handle.
