This is a highly collectible wall plaque or plate from George Borgfeldt. It carries the Borgfeldt decorating studio mark 1 (1906-1920), and has the artist's signature LE PIC on the front.
It features a dashing cavalier sitting on a large urn, tuning his guitar. Similar plaques by Le Pic are featured in Mary Gaston's Limoges encyclopedia on pages 72-73.
This plaque was made to be displayed and has four factory drilled holes on the backside for a hanging wire.
It measures about 10-1/4" in diameter and is in excellent condition. There are no scratches, chips, or repairs. There is a bit of gold loss to some of the highpoints of the embossed border. The colors are still nice and bright.
