This piece is a once in a lifetime find. Exceptional, Rare, Museum Quality, Period, William and Mary Period High Boy Chest on Stand Ca. 1690. It is extraordinarily original, very few minor repairs, or replacements. All drawers work smoothly. All hand dovetailed and wood peg construction with elaborately turned legs with trumpet and spiral shapes and ball feet. The carvings are clean and crisp. The hardware, I believe is mostly original with a few pieces replaced with the same period pieces. The drawers have remnants of an ancient paper lining. This piece is from England and was brought here by the family of painter, "Thomas Moran". It was said to be owned by his Great Great Grandfather, but I do not have documentation for this, but I do believe it can be verified. You will never find a Period William and Mary piece in this condition except in a Museum. The dimensions are: 38"w x 22 1/2"d (24"d at base) x 56"h. Many more pictures available upon request.
