Antique scent No. 4711 D' Eau de Cologne bottle, covered in extremely finely woven wicker or rattan wrapping, with original cork stopper and label with affixed stamp. The visible top of the bottle is medium green in color. Even the bottom of the bottle has the finely woven covering. Germany in origin and dates from late 1800s to early 1900s.
Green, black and gold paper label has: D 'Eau de Cologne Extrait Double No. 4711. Also Eau de Cologne & Parfumerie - Fabrik Glockengasse No. 4711. Label appears to have small samples of worldwide exhibition awards. Affixed stamp is marked: Hoflieferant S. Majestat des Kaisers.
Measurements: 6 1/4 inches to top of cork. 1 3/4 inch across bottom.
Wicker is in very good condition, with only one small loss on the side of the bottle neck, some losses to the narrow strips that circle the bottle neck, and a few tiny wicker breaks that are difficult to see unless examining closely. Label and stamp are intact, with bright graphics. One small chip on the edge of the bottle rim. Bottle is empty.
