Offering this impressive Japanese Satsuma ceramic vase with a dark green ground, scroll handles below the flared rim, and figural and floral panels. Motif details have thick and bold enamel moriage outlining. Gold gilt enhanced. Similar styles are shown in Sandra Andacht's Treasury of Satsuma. I am dating this to the 1910s to 1930s. The only marks I note are on the foot rim.
Height: 14 3/4 Inches
Base Diameter: 5 5/8 Inches
Center at Widest: 7 Inches
Vase in very good condition. Has some typical crazing, but no cracks or hairlines. Only fault I notice is a small chip on the enameling - see image with green arrow. Some loss of color at base, but it is glazed and as made.
