After Giovanni Varlese, Italian (1888 - 1922) we offer this vintage sculpture of a young boy proudly holding a fish he has caught, while a basket of fish sits at his feet. He stands atop a rock formation, affixed to a white marble base.

Figure is made of spelter with a bronzed finish, circa early 1900s.

Measurements:
Height: 15 1/2 inches including marble base
Width: 7 1/4 inches wide at rock formation
Marble Base: 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches

Marks: G. Varlese on back of rock formation

Condition:
Very good condition, with beautifully smooth casting. Mostly dark aged patination of the finish, but still has many areas with a golden bronzed finish. No repairs or damage - has only a few scratches on the back of legs.
