Porcelain and brass antique hand vanity mirror, circa 1880s to 1920s.
Mirror is backed by domed white porcelain, with a colorful transfer of salmon and rosy pink cabbage roses, all encased in an ornate brass frame.
Brass handle features ornate repousse scrolls and flowers in high relief.
Measurements: 9 1/2 inches long and 5 1/4 inches wide.
Condition: The beveled edge mirror is in very good condition, with just two tiny areas of darkening at the very edge, and a few small light scratches, barely worthy of mention. Brass is in very good condition, with appropriate patina. There are only minor signs of use on the porcelain, with one pin point round glaze pop or surface ding on one rose petal. I detect only very minimal spots of wear to the transfer, which remains bright and lovely.
Mirror has a nice substantial weight and will grace any dressing table with elegance!
