This sweet little copper and sterling silver covered sauce pot, measuring only 3 inches across the top, is marked on the bottom Jos. Heinrichs, New York, Pure Copper, Sterling Silver. Joseph Heinrichs was a maker of high quality copper items and known to make items for both Gorham and Tiffany. He produced items from the late 1800s until the mid 1930s.
This tiny copper pot exhibits his quality craftsmanship and has a very substantial heavy weight. It measures 3 inches across the top and just over 6 1/4 inches including the handle. Pot is 1 3/8 inches high without the cover.
Condition is very good. Pot has only light surface marks and oxidation. Interior remains a bright sterling silver, except for a small band of wear partially around the bottom surface.
If you collect or display copper pots, this miniature covered sauce pot would be a great enhancement, and, from my searches, seems to be somewhat scarce.
