Glamour girls refer to the style of head vase where the face is fairly simple usually with simple closed eyes and drawn on lashes, bouffant hair and colorful lips. These were usually made in home studios so there are a lot of different styles depending upon the artist. Sometimes the artist will sign and date the bottom of the piece. In fact, some collectors love trying to collect any glamour girl style they don’t have yet!
This one is very different in that the artist actually painted open eyes! Love ‘em or hate ‘em she is unique in that regard. (I have to admit they are growing on me.) The shade of blue is just gorgeous and I love the choker or halter style around her neck. She is a one of a kind!
Condition: Very good condition having no major chips or cracks. She does have overall crazing. There is one tiny nick on the edge of her hat that faces towards the back and has been touched up so nicely it pretty much gets lost. (See pictures)
