Some of my favorite vintage designers from the 50’s and 60’s are those like ART and FLORENZA who were able to replicate the late 1800 and early 1900’s style in their pieces. This is locket features a nice large sized compartment. Some believe it was intended for solid perfume—if so this one was not used that way as there is no reminiscent odor. So you could certainly use it hide some pills that need to be taken an inconvenient time or if you are an essential oil lover you could stow away a piece of cotton with a drop of your favorite essential oils. Beautiful statement piece with faux turquoise cabochons and red and purple rhinestones adding to its majestic feel. The chain is not marked but it does match the style of the tassel.
Condition: Excellent condition. No gold tone wear noted. All decorative cabs and stones are present. The catch on the pendant holds pretty nicely. If I bounce it up and down (as if one were to jog with it on) it may come undone after a hard bounces. So as long as you don’t work out in it—it should be good!
