I am almost afraid to try to describe this stunning work of wearable art to you because I know I will not be able to do it justice! I could stare at this brooch for hours especially when the light it is bouncing off it as the person wearing it moves about. Large oval aurora borealis stones in the hues of peacock or tourmaline (turquoise, purple, fuschia, gold and green) but the scalloped cut edges make it truly amazing. The condition of these flat stones is amazing as well. Some of the stones are tipped up, others tipped down and there is some subtle overlapping and variance in height kind of almost resembling a grape like cluster. For further sparkle and interest smaller pink aurora borealis rhinestones are nestled in between the larger stones in a gold tulip shaped setting. Truly amazing!
Condition: Excellent condition. Only flaw to note is the pin stem is slightly bent but the clasp still works fine. Only under a loupe or strong magnification in the large pictures can you notice just a little bit of subtle wear like a flea nip to an edge here or there. Flourescent lighting and magnification the pics also makes it look there is wear to the AB finish or to some of the edges of the stones but to the naked eye this pin is spectacular! I have taken several pictures form several angles to help you. Truly though, I have confidence that you will be as stunned as I am by the beauty of this piece when you see it in person.
