REDUCED TO $400. Everything about this purse says timeless quality. I love this purse from my personal collection, and I have regularly moisturized the leather. I was told the design of the frame and the chatelaine clip is named Athena. The frame and the clip are marked with the Gorham lion, the anchor and a Gothic letter B, additionally marked sterling on both pieces, with a pitcher on the clip and the number 1685 on the frame. The original owner's name is engraved inside the frame. The chain has medallions of the same leaf on the clip and frame. The lining is olive green suede. There is an open pocket in the lining. I think the leather is ostrich. There is wear to the leather but no rips or holes, nor any in the lining. The condition is remarkable for its age. The clip fits on a belt or waistband. 7" by 7"by 1 1/4", hangs 12" top to bottom. You won't find another like this.
