Max and Norbert Neiger started Max Neiger in the 1920s in Gablonz. In the 1930s they moved to Prague believing it was safer, but both brothers died at Auschwitz. Max Neiger was an exceptional metalsmith. This necklace has a brass pendant with a faux star sapphire and lighter blue enamel of leaves. The bead necklace is made of small and large moonglow glass beads. 17 1/2" long plus a a drop of 2 7/8". Closes with a spring ring. The larger glass beads are 14mm. Excellent vintage condition. The spring ring is marked 1/20 gold, which is newer than the rest of the necklace.
