I bought this necklace at Liberty in London when they has a sale of old jewelry. The necklace has a base of copper with turquoise and dark red enamel which is in perfect condition. 14 7/8 long and 3/4" at each heart. I will send along an extender of 4" and you can close the chain where you want to. There is mark of the back which I can barely read, my guess is CV. William Morris was one of the instigators of the Arts and Crafts Movement in1877,in reaction to the shoddy made designs and mediocre workmanship of the machine age. He believed that the maker should take every step of his or her piece and that it should be made entirely by hand. He felt that decoration gave the people pleasure whether the item is made of inexpensive or valuable materials. Excellent vintage condition. Late 1800s or early 1900s. International shipping will cost between$20 - $50.
