These sterling and turquoise earrings were made by Ric Charlie, a Navajo. The use of overlay makes these earrings also suitable to pair with your Hopi or Northwestern Indian jewelry. I read the design as a pair of birds with a Blue Gem mine turquoise. Blue Gem mine is known for the vibrancy of its color. 1 1/4" from the top of the hook to the bottom of the dangle and 5/8" at the widest. Marked C and sterling. C is the early mark for Ric Charlie, a Navajo, who was born in 1959. He won best of jewelry award at the Santa Fe Indian Market some years back.
