Robert De Mario worked from 1945 to 1960. The is some confusion as to whether or not he worked for Miriam Haskell first, as his designs were certainly influenced by hers. This is a gorgeous necklace with faux baroque pearls, blue, amber and purples ending in a dangle of grapes and four leaves, two navy and two clear with beads wired on. Wearable length 20" with a drop of 2 3/4" for the leaves and grapes. Push in clasp and findings in gold tone. The clip earrings are 1", and marked De Mario in script, with a (C). The only flaw is that one earring has one less gray faux pearl. I think this was a manufacturing oops as there are no wires loose anywhere. Otherwise excellent vintage condition. De Mario was proud of his Italian heritage and often made grapes a part of his designed.
