Mid Century sterling necklace and earrings by Paul Lobel (1900-1983). He has his first one man show in Paris in 1926, and his works were shown in the Museum of Modern Art in 1940. His simple designs show the influence of his work in industrial design. The necklace is made of sterling segments which link together and are very comfortable on the neck. approximately 18 1/2". The pendant is a simple shape and is 1 3/4" by 7/8". The screw back earrings match the pendant, 1 5/8" by 7/16". Marked Lobel sterling on the pendant and on the dangle of one earring. Excellent vintage condition. I can polish it more if you wish. What a gift! I saw it priced elsewhere for $2300.
