Sale price $300: Was $600. In February I supplied two dozen vintage kimono and haori (jackets) to a gallery show. This is one more of my collection, an exceptional men's haori which also looks fabulous on a large woman as well. A very high grade black silk was used to make this haori. It has 5 mons (family crests), another sign of quality. The third sign of quality is the silk screen silk lining with two vistas, one of a village and one of a family compound with Fuji in the background. 26 1/2" shoulder to shoulder. It is not uncommon to have the shoulder seam hanging over your shoulder, like raglan sleeves. 13" from shoulder seam to end of sleeve, 41" shoulder seam to bottom. Mid Showa period 1926-1989. Excellent vintage condition, no fading, rips or holes. Strikingly sophisticated. I also have for sale the uchikake (wedding coat) that is on the gallery announcement.
