I couldn't resist this purchase at Round Top's Antique Fair this week. The necklace and matching bracelet are a variation of patents 151535 and 151537 issued to Alfred Philippe in 1951. The variation is shown in Carroll, Collecting Costume Jewelry 202, on page 172. The shiny gold tone pieces are designed in an articulated brickwork. The centers of both are scrolls enhanced with all clear rhinestones. Both close with fold over clasps, so you can add an extender to the necklace if required. The necklace is 15 3/4" long and 1/2" at the widest. The bracelet is 7 1/4" by 1 1/8" at the widest. Excellent vintage condition, light loss of gold tone to the inside of both pieces, no dark or yellow stones. This is a beautiful set. Marked (crown) Trifari Pat Pend on both pieces.
