Outstanding and large Limoges porcelain jardinière having Rococo C-scroll handles and whorl feet, and decorated with magnificent magenta red roses on green leafy stems set against a mottled background in muted tones of green, yellow and plum emulative of the fading light of dusk. Gold enamel highlights the rim in a sponge technique for contrast and texture.
Measures approximately 10.25" tall x 16.5" across the handles. Underglaze mark in green for production between the years 1894 – 1900. No damage or restoration. light water deposit in interior.
