Nebmerutef was a high official in the reign of Amenophis III who enjoyed special royal favor and was allowed to have his statue in Thoth's temple at Hermopolis. Thoth, the god of knowledge, science and wisdom was the patron of scholars and high administrative officials, who drew inspiration from him.
Measures approximately 6.25" tall x 3.375" wide x 3.25" deep. Impressed copyright sign, plus "1955, ALVA STUDIOS" along the side near base.
