Limoges late nineteenth century 13.5" diameter T & V porcelain tray, or charger having an exceptional hand-painted decoration of vineyard fresh grapes nestled among leafy foliage and woody vines.
The quality of the hand painting is of the highest standard. In this ethereal, watercolor like painting, the artist has expertly captured the glistening dew clinging to the fruited vine. This is an extraordinarily difficult level of technique that few porcelain artists ever achieve.
Green mark for T & V Limoges porcelain produced circa 1892 – 1907. Measures approximately 13.5" diameter. Tray lip is about 1.125". Artist signed with first name undecipherable and last name Jones. No damage or restoration. Remnant of mounting glue on back. (See photo).
This is an absolutely stellar hand painted T&V Limoges porcelain tray, and one you will be very proud to own
