Elegant blush ivory porcelain vase having gold gilt enamel handles in the form of elephant heads with up-turned trunks, (a feng shui symbol for good luck).
Its waisted, cylindrical form has an Asian inspired decoration in heavy raised gold enamel depicting a bird perched upon a leafy branch among fuchsia blossoms. In feng shui birds are symbols of inspiration, renewal and new opportunities.
Stands approximately 9.2 inches tall. No damage or restoration. Green underglaze backstamp circa 1901.
