Excellent Meissen porcelain coffee or chocolate pot in Meissen's Full Green Vine Wreath pattern having a hand painted decoration of green leaves on a woody vine. The vine and leaf vein are picked out with black enamel.
Stands approximately 12" to top of handle. Blue underglaze crossed swords; two undecipherable underglaze blue curved marks, along with an impressed number 17. First quality no cancel marks. No damage or restoration. Speck of green enamel at spout rim is underglaze (see photo).
This elegant Meissen porcelain coffee pot is a scarce style and is identified as Form Q in a line drawing of styles originally offered between the years of 1774 and 1814. See the book, "The Book of Meissen" by Robert E Rontgen.
