Absolutely stellar Thomas Webb & Sons Burmese Ware 6.25 inch vase having a stunningly beautiful and scarce enamel decoration of crimson red English roses and green foliage, highlighted in gold and picked out in black tracery.
Gold enamel neck and foot ring. Impressed mark circa 1886. Excellent condition having no damage or restoration. Slight wear to gold enamel at neck. There is a hair's width vertical line of darkened gold enamel that runs at an angle inside the neck at the rim. In the photo the enamel anomaly appears to be a line crack, but of course there is no crack or damage to this vase.
This is truly a choice example of Thomas Webb Victorian glass having a breathtakingly beautiful and rare decoration and superb color development
