This simple, yet elegant pattern is illustrated in a booklet published by Tiffany in 1905. Retrospectively, it could be argued that the sleek design of Tiffany's Prince pattern represents an early example of changing taste toward the modernized lines of art deco.
The Prince pattern has a sophisticated silhouette that is as compelling to collectors today as it was then. The gold iridescent luster glass has excellent color with blue and pink highlights. Tiffany's Prince pattern finger bowl and underplate is illustrated on page 103, of "Tiffany Favrile Art Glass" by Moise S. Steeg, Jr. The book example is shown with a grapevine etch. Our piece is not etched.
Incised signature "L.C.T. Favrile" on bowl and underplate. No damage or restoration. Bowl is approximately 4-3/4" diameter. Plate is approximately 5-3/4" diameter
