Franziska Hirsch operated her decorating studio on Struwestrasse 19 Dresden from 1893 to 1930. She used blanks by Meissen, Rosenthal and MZ Austria using a gold overglaze flower to hide the manufacturer's mark.
This hard to find cream soup is entirely hand painted with alternating panels containing delightful floral reserves and courting couples framed by elaborate foliate gold borders. The outer cup is painted with delicate flower bouquets in alternating colors.
Cup measures 6.75" at widest across handles with an approximate diameter of 4.875" and height is 1.75" Saucer measures approximately 7". Combined height is about 2.375". Excellent condition with no damage or restoration.
