A large, deep emerald green pedestal bowl made at Moser for Weiner Werkstatte designed by Josef Hoffmann, decorated in a cameo frieze pattern of Roman warriors engaging in battle with Amazonian women.
This shape is documented as being produced at Moser for Weiner Werkstatte in Moser’s sketch book identified as shape number 45.
Measures approximately 10 inches tall x 8.25 inches diameter at rim. Wear to the gold enamel of the cameo frieze, light scratching at rim and inside of bowl, otherwise good. Circa first quarter, twentieth. Heavy, weighs about 6.25 pounds BEFORE packing. Ship std 18x18x18.
