Antique late nineteenth century German porcelain mantle clock made by the manufactory of Von Schierholz & Sohn (1880 – 1906). The lemon yellow Rococo styled clock is highlighted in gold gilt enamel and has a transfer decoration of an 18th century courting couple seated in a garden. Clock has a flat beveled glass face cover and a lovely dial.
Measures approximately 9.5” tall x 6” widest. Clock runs, but not checked for accuracy. No chime or alarm. Carries early mark in blue under base for Von Schierholz was produced between the years 1880 and 1906.
