An antique Victorian green glazed stoneware model of the AD1 – AD25 Roman cameo glass antiquity known as the Portland Vase.
From about 1810 the Portland vase has been on display at the British Museum in London; and it has inspired numerous glass and porcelain makers from the 18th century and onwards to produce their own versions. John Northwood took three years to complete his famous circa 1876 copy of the Portland vase which today is on display at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York.
Measures approximated 10” tall. No damage or restoration. Apparently unsigned. weighs approximately 2.9 pounds BEFORE packing. Ship standard size: 16x16x16
