19th century hand painted German porcelain plaque depicting a self-portrait of Louise Elisabeth Vigee LeBrun, (Marie Élisabeth Louise, 16 April 1755 – 30 March 1842) known as Madame Lebrun, the prominent French painter who served as portrait painter to Marie Antoinette.
Measures overall approximately 12.75” tallest x 9” widest. Oval plaque measures approximately 5.75” x 4.4”. Signed, Möhring or possibly Mühring along edge. Plaque has no damage or restoration and has good color and surface. Rococo wood and gesso frame has numerous repaired breaks and re-painting.
