Scarce Circa 1880 Moser Meistersdorf clear colorless optic ribbed glass compote having an applied high relief decoration of a hummingbird in flight above a flowering water garden in gold gilt enamel. This much sought after decorative technique was produced at Meistersdorf and the cast decorations were likely produced by melting glass enamel powder (pate de verre) in a ceramic mold using a lost wax method.
Measures approximately 6.375” tall x 4.88” diameter bowl. No damage or restoration.
