Bronze medal commemorating famous Romanian engineer, inventor and aerodynamics pioneer Henri Marie Coanda (1886 – 1972) who was the first to recognize the practical application of the phenomenon in aircraft development called the Coanda effect.

One side of the medal with his name, Henri Coando below his face in profile. The reverse side in Romanian (translated), “60 years after the first jet flight concept built and flown by Romanian engineer”. The dates 1910 – 1970 flanking an experimental aircraft, and below in Latin, Ad Perpetuam Rei Memoriam.” Measures approximately 3” diameter. Comes in original fitted box.
